On May 24, 2007, the Peel Children's Charter of Rights was presented to Peel Regional Council for its endorsement and support. Council Members were asked to consider and implement specific recommendations to raise awareness of children's rights, including declaring November 20 as Peel Child Day. The motion to accept and implement the recommendations was unanimously approved by the Council. Read Endorsement

On June 12, 2007, the Peel District School Board also endorsed the Charter and among other recommendations resolved to advocate for the Peel Children's Charter of Rights with the staff, students and parents of the Peel District School Board. Read Endorsement

At a board meeting on October 23, 2007, the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board endorsed the Peel Children's Charter of Rights and promised to recognize November 20 as Peel Child Day.

The United Way of Peel Region endorsed the Peel Children’s Charter of Rights at their board meeting on October 25, 2007. They will take specific action to recognize children’s rights including displaying copies of the Charter in United Way offices and assisting in communicating these rights to staff and stakeholders. Family Day Care Services formally endorsed the Peel Children’s Charter of Rights on November 2, 2007. The agency initiated their commitment on November 20, 2007, the National Day of the Child in Peel, by sharing the Peel Children’s Charter of Rights with staff and children and plan to share it with communities in which Family Day Care centres are located. Peel Children's Aid endorsed the Peel Children's Charter of Rights on January 31, 2008. The Board of Directors will take concrete action to support the Charter such as asking the question, "What would a good parent do?" as part of all Board decisions. Read Endorsement

On January 30, 2008, the Family Education Centre Board of Directors and Staff accepted and endorsed the Charter. They promised to ask the question, "What impact will this have on our children?" before board decisions are made, participate in promoting National Child Day in Peel and advocate for children's rights. On February 4, 2008, the St. John Fisher Early Years Partnership endorsed the Peel Children's Charter of Rights. The St John Fisher Early Years Partnership plans to implement the Charter by sharing and applying the tenents within the community they service. Read Endorsement

The Child Development Resource Connection officially endorsed the Charter on September 22, 2008. By endorsing the Charter, the Child Development Resource Connection has made a commitiment to promote the quality care of children as well as support the overall quality of family life. Read Endorsement
