12. The Right to Play
Every child has the right to play and have fun. To have dancing flowers and magic mud.

The last in a series of 12 presentations on the Charter of Rights to Peel Regional Councillors was the Right to Play. The YEAH Chorus premiered the Peel Children's Charter of Rights theme song: "We've Got Rights." The joyful presentation underscored children's inherent right to play.

Children share their views on children's rights with Council.

Many children who had presented individual rights to council between April 2008 and May 2009, joined Mr. Davis for the final delegation.

Audience members commend the efforts of the children involved in the delegation.

"There have been tears and laughter; expressions of frustration and of joy; moments of inspiration; and startling revelation - and even some song and dance... Children were here to communicate, in their own way - using their own words - just how important these rights are to them."
